I've been taking ballet at The Ballet Studio in the U District, at a place I can and do walk to. (Unfortunately, it's uphill on the way there, when I'm in a hurry!) It's an adults-only place — and no recitals or observers allowed — which still required a great leap of faith on my part to give a try. But from my very first Very Beginning Ballet for Adults class I was hooked, and I've been enjoying my classes ever since. I'm up to Intermediate now, thank you very much, even though I still can't balance worth beans. So I have no pictures from the actual class, and our apartment's a little cramped for action shots, so Steve & I set up a little portrait studio to take some evocative pictures.
