LANSINGHS & OTHER STEVE RELATIVES

Greg, Ben (adopted for yard-work purposes — no, actually, Sharon's good friend from Wheaton), Sharon, Amanda, & Steve — Michigan, September 2003

We visited the Lansinghs in Michigan in September 2003 on our Midwest trip.

Paul & Alice Lansingh: lansingh2@aol.com
The Lansingh parentals are keeping busy. They've been doing a lot of traveling as well as working on the house. Both are involved in hospitality, missions, teaching, and other ministries at their church. They finally visited us in Seattle in August 2004. We had a delightful time showing them around the city, and then they kidnapped us for an excursion to the Olympic Peninsula.

Greg Lansingh: roundtheworld24@yahoo.com or glansingh@aol.com
Greg visited us in May 2002 as part of his cross-the-country trip by Greyhound, so Steve got to see the opening of Star Wars: Episode II with his big brother, just like the old days. His long-term plans are to go to grad school for history, but right now he's trying to decide whether to teach English in Japan for awhile. For now, he's in Michigan helping out with the house and at his church.

Sharon Lansingh: srlansingh@aol.com
Sharon visited us in September 2002 and September 2004, as part of an every-two-years plan. No, but seriously, she loved Seattle so much she's thinking of moving out here! For now, though, she has parlayed her nanny-school credentials into a position with a family in Michigan, two older-elementary kids and two of the younger variety: toddler and baby.

See older pictures in the Orchard Lake '99, Orchard Lake '01, and Orchard Lake '03 sections.

Emily Lansingh Muir:
Aunt Emily died in March 2003 at age 99. She had a full and productive life as a painter, an art she continued up to her death. She had just published her second book, an autobiography titled The Time of My Life. She is greatly missed. The Lansinghs are journeying to Stonington, Maine, this August for the town's memorial service. Steve & I will get to see our honeymoon cottage, next to Aunt Emily's house, one last time.

Michael Hopfinger was born in April 2004 to Joe & Jenni!

Uncle Doug (see the Forrester family above in undoubtedly copyrighted photo stolen from their website — we were just so excited to have pictures of extended family) is running for governor of New Jersey.

We saw Uncle Alan & Aunt Ia on our trip to San Francisco in February 2002. We had a yummy supper out and a great time talking!

We saw Uncle Bob & Aunt Barbara during Greg's visit in May 2002. We again had a yummy supper out and a great time talking!
