When trying to capture the slug on camera, use at least 400-speed, fast-action film; try for bright sunlight to get as crisp an image as possible; and move your camera along with the speed of the slug to minimize blurring. Most importantly, keep trying — one day you'll snag a worthy shot and finally be able to study this fascinating, elusive animal at your leisure.
