Here's Mt. Rainier from the ground. We had to take this picture in Tacoma for it to look even slightly close in the camera, but in real life it always surprises us with its size even here when we round a corner of the highway and catch sight of it. Cheating a little, below is a professional newspaper photograph to give you an idea of how a mountain can slow traffic.
