A rare shot of Luna actually looking into the camera instead of running away in a big blur right when the flash goes off. Unfortunately, the deer-in-the-headlights look wasn't a great choice for a pose...you can tell she's still a little shelter-haunted. Her shelter name was Sosa, apparently a misapprehension of Salza, the name her owners gave her before they gave her away for having too many kittens before they could manage to get her spayed. Yep, this 5 lb 14 oz 2-year-old is a mama twice over. Now, we actually found it quite easy to get her spayed — go figure. We decided Metaluna was a suitable name, both elegant and loony.
