ADVENTURES: BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, JAN. '03
In January, we took the ferry from Seattle to explore Bainbridge Island. Despite being where many rich people live, we managed a cheap day. Our first stop: a thrift store, which was the only place we bought souvenirs. (Steve found a food slicer he'd been searching for and a mug rack.) We poked in the galleries and shops along the way, admired a protest in progress, and ate at some really tasty cafes.
