We toured Mark Twain's house in Hartford, where he spent the happiest years of his life and during which time he wrote his most famous books. The house is enormous and beautiful, built with the wealth from his writings as well as that of his beautiful and beloved upper-class wife, Olivia. That's the plant-filled conservatory on the front left, where the doting father would be the lion in his daughters' "jungle."
