Our goal was Neah Bay and the northwesternmost point in the contiguous United States. It's on Makah Nation land, where they charged a $9 recreation fee for simply driving there. We decided they needed it when we got to the last stretch of road: potholes so big, Jeanie thought we'd hit a deer when we fell into the first one!
