Our teacher was very enthusiastic and pleasant and named each day after a theme. The first was Crazy Hat Day, the day on which we painted...crazy hats. He passed them around and kindly lent us some of his supplies (so that we could quickly see how inferior our thrifty purchases were). Here's my first crazy hat painting, which I think turned out well (albeit not that crazy), which I guess was beginner's luck. We had to pick two contrasting colors and use only those.
