We won passes to a premiere of the film Frida at the Seattle Art Museum, with a sneak preview of their Mexican Modernism exhibit. They had a Mexican band and free guacamole and chips. We accepted the audio-tour headphones and were the last to leave. Later, we returned on one of their free first Thursdays of the month to see the rest of the museum. I was particularly interested in an exhibit on adorning a Maasai bride, because I was designing a Bible study cover for the Bible League and wanted to pick appropriate colors. The exhibit listed what bead colors mean to the Maasai and explained what they consider good design even more helpful than I'd hoped!
