ADVENTURES IN SEATTLE: NW BOOKFEST, OCT. '02
We took the bus to Sand Point Magnuson Park, a converted naval facility, and put in the full two days at the Northwest Bookfest. We saw J.A. Jance, a favorite mystery writer of mine; Jo Dereske & Kate Wilhelm, mystery authors who soon became new friends; Rick Steves, who basically guided our trip through Europe; and Chuck Palahniuk, the author of "Fight Club." Steve swapped many books at the used-book table, we toured book art, we picked up freebies at the many booths, and we spent as much time as we legitimately could at the Paper Crafts table. I was so proud to find that they had posted this picture on their website, with an invitation to download! So I did. That's the back of my head, second from the right. I'm diligently following instructions to sew a bound book.
