Man, getting ready for a three-week trip to Europe should be classified as a part-time job! Starting with pre- (rail passes) and post-Christmas bargains (Goretex jackets for rainy Europe — good call, as it turned out! — and hostel-surviving supplies), we (mostly I, as the instigator of this craziness) filled many an hour in the following months scouring travel websites, photocopying guidebooks surreptitiously at the church office (ha! We've moved — they can't get me now!), venturing into previously unvisited camping stores for durable picnic gear, and emailing across the ocean for three weeks of reservations (yea, internet!). And then the countdown — those final weeks and days. Here are the pictures to chronicle our mad rush. We were jetlagged even before we boarded the plane!
