We drove up the one-car-wide, gravel Fire Lane #5 and out around the lily pond. Bill put in a couple lilies when they first moved to Stonington, and you can see that the lilies liked their new home so much that they took over! The better for painting — one artist was out at the edge nearly every day, continuing the Lansingh-Muir tradition.
