We found a New Jersey mini-golf place for our first foray into fun. This was a beautiful course, with lots of water and vegetation (and we didn't lose a ball!). Despite the very chilly weather, we had a good time, with the course to ourselves. Other than that, we were underwhelmed by our view of the state. It seemed conspiring to keep us from the knowledge that New York City was nearby. All the brochure racks held only info on Atlantic City and such, and signs to the commuter-transit train station were so badly obscured that we couldn't find it when we were within a quarter mile. When we tried to find internet access to determine its location, no luck we found one internet cafe, out of business.
