Three weeks trekking around Europe, wearing through our socks and wearing out our stinky feet, was enough for these homebodies. We started the long journey home with gratefulness for the fun we'd had, the friends we'd visited, and the special places we'd discovered (like the relaxation of the Lake District, the hilarious improvisation of our do-it-yourself Monty Python tour, or the enchantment of a starry night in a Vienna Heuriger), but also with the anticipation of sleeping in the same, comfortable bed (no bunkbeds!) for more than three nights in a row, staying out of the rain, picking up our mail, and being able to eat American junk food again. Not that we didn't bring back a sizable supply of European junk food! Now our only work is sorting our photos and mementos for sharing.
