We spent a peaceful three weeks in England in the spring and early summer, limiting ourselves to two locations: London and Cornwall. We chose London for the sheer fun of the city and Cornwall for the out-of-the-way beauty. We enjoyed making a home in both places, even if only for a short time, and acting as if we lived there instead of being just visitors — doing the things we like to do in Seattle: picnics and grocery shopping, parks and museums, plays and walks, and not spending too much money!
